Cinch Connectors, an electronics company headquartered in Illinois, plans to shift some manufacturing operations from northeast Oklahoma to McAllen in September, creating about 50 local jobs.
Grand Rapids Foam Technologies, a company new to Rio South Texas, will create 150 jobs in McAllen.

According to the U.S Census, as of July 1, 2011, Alton, TX, part of McAllen–Edinburg–Mission metropolitan area, had the biggest population growth at a whopping 11.65%. Rio South Texas’s average was 2.31% while Texas as a whole had an average of 1.20% population growth per city.
